Bears and Berries

Subject featured in this piece: Animals, Bears

These Grizzlies are grazing on blueberries high in the mountains of Alaska.  The higher the elevation the smaller the blueberry bushes.  The blueberries are ripe in September and provide the bears much needed food to fatten up for the long sleep of hibernation. Mother and her two cubs are doing everything they can to ensure their survival through the winter months.
